Ecotopes believes that nature is a necessary companion, inside + outside — even in tiny packages. The RIFTY planter is designed to bring a fragment of the landscape to your kitchen countertop, office desktop, bedroom window sill or dinner table. The rifties derive their name from their larger, landscape-based cousin, the RIFT planter, since they both share that characteristic “steel-sandwich” design approach.

RIFTY BUSINESS
There’s some serious steel in these little guys. Steel that’s been corroded by environmental elements, buried in soil, previously welded to structures, marked by painted artifacts or carrying any number of other intriguing blemishes.
Each RIFTY comes with a pair of hardwood mini-planks to protect your surfaces from becoming tarnished by the steel, but that’s your choice. These feeties also look really cool
We’ve also included a little blanket of landscape textile that holds the soil in place. This fabric piece lies on top of the expanded steel floor to hold the soil up.
Experiment with any combination of micro plants, teeny cactuses or sedum varieties. Blanket the soil below with a couple handfuls of your favorite gravel, seashells or colorful marbles. Any kind of pocket-sized collection of baubles would work.
RECLAIMED MATERIALS
Materials are reclaimed from previous construction uses. You can expect any variety of 'beauty marks' on this product, including scratches, curious discolorations, old weld points, marking paint, rusted metal, scorched patches, gouges + the like.
None of these lovely blemishes will diminish the functioning of the product + have been carefully elevated to an art form by our designers for your aesthetic delight.
